As confirmed by Real Madrid's official website, Kaka, who left Los Blancos' pre-season tour of the United States for Belgium to have the torn meniscus in his knee evaluated, has already had surgery on his knee and will be out of action between three and four months.
Kaka had his torn mensiscus repaired in Amberes, Belgium by prestigious specialist, Dr. Marc Martens, after leaving the Madrid training camp in Los Angeles yesterday.
The sports hernia from which the Brazilian has suffered for the past season was, thus, not the cause of the midfielder's inability to train with his team upon returning from his summer holiday.
Kaka spent last season, his first with Real Madrid, suffering from a wide array of injuries and missing significant playing time in the second half of the year. It is unknown when Kaka suffered his knee ailment and for how long he has been carrying the injury in the wake of the World Cup.
